characters Ravenous Summary Ravenous 108 Eden Summers ☆ 8 Download In never uite got over how he left for the bright lights of the big city and took her heart with himJesse never regretted his decision to leave small town life behind and chase his big city dreams but he’s always regretted leaving Erin. As part of my uest to read authors coming to the Australian Romance Writers conference this year I stumbled upon this sensuous novella Those of you who watch my Instagram would be aware that beyond reading and blogging I like to cook and bake The fact that this story has the heroine as a caterer and the hero as a top class chef made it shoot to the top of my listThe story gets into action straight away no musing or wondering Erin lives in a small country town running a catering company with her sister but nothing much is happening That s until her former boyfriend Jesse walks through the door Years ago he left her for the bright city lights Now he wants her to cater for his mother s birthday Although things get off to a rocky start it s not long until Erin and Jesse are rediscovering each other Will Jesse leave again or can he convince Erin to leave the only home he s knownThe romance starts to happen pretty uickly in this novella and it s uite steamy I loved the big mix up and the resolution it was both funny and lovely to read Summers is excellent at teasing out the narrative to make you wonder if Erin and Jesse will ever get it together While the length of the story means a few details are lacking such as the party was over pretty uickly the characters are very well drawn Both the main characters have their uirks and the minor characters like Jesse s mum and Erin s sister both get a good turn in the spotlight The minor characters are detailed and memorableI ll definitely be reading by Eden Summers both the humour and the romance make her books incredibly fun to readThank you to Escape Publishing for the eGalley of this bookhttpsamstillreadingwordpresscom

characters Ravenous Summary Ravenous 108 Eden Summers ☆ 8 Download She’s a small town caterer he’s a big city chef but they don’t need a kitchen to make things sizzle Erin McDonald likes her simple life in her small town no drama no fuss no uncertaintyuntil Jesse Hackett breezes back into town Er. This was a short little novella and while entertaining the characters were so stubborn or hurt that they stood in the way of their happiness to the point where I got disgusted with themThe blurb explains the backstory between the 2 characters but outside of that description there is no other history provided and I hadn t read the blurb before opening this story The beginning immediately opens up with their reunion and I was instantly confused as to what the bigger backstory was between them I had a really hard time connecting with them and becoming invested one way or the other in what happened between them after that By the time I was finally getting into it and learning about their shared histories the story ended The conflict was pretty ridiculous as well especially since if Jessie and Erin had actually talked to one another there wouldn t actually BE a conflict Also since Jesse is a chef and Erin is a caterer I thought that their careers would play into the story a little but they ended up being of background details or outright crutches for the characters The length of the story was a big issue for me and I felt that description and details at the beginning of the book in particular would have been beneficial
